CREATIVE WRITING WORKSHOP with Marcus Civin, curator of BALTIMORE 1.
Participants will start by carefully describing an intriguing object from the exhibition Baltimore 1, then describe another intriguing object, then another, then another. We will work independently—and in teams perhaps—use writing games and writing prompts that can help generate language, surprising language sometimes. We will set up objects in relationship to each other, and write short narrative bursts creating bizarre and unusual relationships between two or three objects. You will write from your interest in these objects and your feelings about them. We will share our writing with each other and work together to complicate, refine, and polish the writing. You will leave this writing workshop with new, creative, and confident material of your own that reflects your most imaginative self.
Workshop Duration: 90 minutes.
All ages and all levels of writers welcome.
This Workshop is FREE.
