Outside Inside, by Wyatt Mitchell

After dropping out of MICA as a sophomore in the fall of 2017, Wyatt Mitchell has spent the past two years developing his work on his own. In that time he has explored many different mediums and ways of working before coming to focus on meditative pen and ink drawings for the past year. His work is influenced by a study of geometry and math, psychology, and spirituality, as well as artists such as Hilma af Klint, Richard Pousette-Dart, Agnes Martin, and Anni Albers. His practices of art, yoga, and tattooing compliment one another as he seeks to live a balanced life.
